주님 오심을 기다리는 강림절에 한미연회에 속한 모든 교회와 목회자 및 성도들에게 하나님의 평화가 가득하시길 빕니다. 금년 여름 도미니카 공화국에서 열린 선교대회는 코로나 사태에 이어 교단 탈퇴과정을 거치면서 한동안 주춤했던 우리의 선교에 다시금 불씨를 지피는 계기가 되었습니다. 13개 교회와 1개 기관 등 170 여명이 참가하여 다섯 개 지역 25 개 교회를 섬겼고, 현지 복음화 대성회를 열어 현지 교회와 목회자들에게도 영적인 충전의 기회를 제공했습니다. 그러나 아쉬움도 있었습니다. 여러 교회를 섬기다 보니, 현지인들과 많은 시간을 갖지 못했고, 스텝의 부족 등으로 준비가 다소 늦어진 점도 있었습니다. 영어권 참가자들을 위한 시간도 제공하지 못했습니다. 그럼에도 참여해 주신 분들이 기꺼이 협력해 주신 덕분에 모든 사역들을 잘 마칠 수 있었습니다. 다시 한번 참여해 주신 분들께 감사를 드립니다. 2026 년 한미연회 선교대회는 니카라과에서 열릴 예정입니다. 니카라과는 Central America 에서 가장 GDP 가 낮은 나라입니다. (도미니카 공화국의 절반 수준임) 그만큼 사역할 가치와 열매가 있는 곳입니다. 한미연회 선교위원회는 지난 해 미흡했던 점들을 보완하기 위해 이미 선교지 답사를 마쳤으며, 현지 선교사님과 긴밀하게 협력하고 있습니다. 그리고 일정도 조금 앞당겨 더욱 많은 분들이 참여할 수 있도록 하였습니다. 아울러 영어권 참가자들을 위한 시간과 공간도 제공할 예정입니다. 2026 글로벌감리교회 한미연회 선교대회를 아래와 같이 안내하니, 내년에도 많은 참여 바랍니다. 아 래 - 대회일정: 2026년 6월 29일(월)~ 7월 3일(금)

During this Advent season, as we await the coming of our Lord, we pray that God’s peace will fill every church, pastor, and member of the Korean American Annual Conference. This past summer, our Mission Conference in the Dominican Republic marked a meaningful turning point. After the challenges of the COVID pandemic and the season of denominational transition, this gathering helped reignite our shared passion for missions. Around 170 participants from 13 churches and one organization came together to serve 25 local churches across five regions. In addition, we hosted a large evangelistic revival, offering encouragement and spiritual renewal to local pastors and congregations. While we are grateful for all that God allowed us to accomplish, we also learned important lessons. Serving many churches limited the amount of time we could spend building deeper relationships with local communities. Staffing challenges led to some late preparations, and we were unable to provide dedicated programming for English-speaking participants. Even so, because of the flexibility, cooperation, and servant-hearted spirit of everyone involved, all ministries were completed successfully. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who participated. Looking ahead, the 2026 Korean American Annual Conference Mission Conference will be held in Nicaragua. Nicaragua has the lowest GDP in Central America—about half that of the Dominican Republic—yet it is a place rich with opportunity for meaningful and fruitful ministry. In preparation, the KAAC Mission Committee has already conducted a site visit and is working closely with local missionaries. The conference dates have also been moved earlier to allow more people to participate. We are especially excited to share that intentional time and space will be created for English-speaking participants in 2026.
